Forest register
The purpose of keeping a forest register is to gather and maintain information on the location, area, growing stock, use and state of forest.
Authorised processors of the forest register are the Environmental Agency, the Environmental Board and the Information Technology Centre of the Ministry of the Environment.
The Environmental Board:
- enters, processes and issues information on forest notifications and field work, reforestation and forest protection expert assessments;
- ensures that the information on forest notifications and field work, reforestation and forest protection expert assessments entered into the register are up-to-date and correct;
- ensures user support related to the information on forest notifications, field work, reforestation and forest protection expert assessment.
