Environmental Board opened new website for protected areas of Estonia

Website www.natparks.ee intruduces ten best known protected areas in Estonia. For preserving biological diversity and for ensuring the favorable status of threatened species and habitats, 18 percent of Estonia's land area and 26 percent of the water area has been taken under protection. There are 5 national parks in Estonia: Lahemaa, Karula, Soomaa, Vilsandi and Matsalu. In addition, you can find information about Alam-Pedja, Endla, Viidumäe Nature Reserves and Otepää, Haanja Nature Parks. Visit our new website www.natparks.ee and read about the values, nature, cultural heritage, hiking routes and public events of these areas.
